Deadline 10th May 2021
From YMCA Humber:
Hours: 37 ½ hours per week
Salary: £33,000 – £38,000 depending on experience
YMCA Humber is a youth charity that specialises in supported accommodation for over 100 young people in communities around North East Lincolnshire. It also provides education and training, mental health support and youth activities to support young people throughout the Humber area.
This is a newly defined role at the YMCA, created in the midst of a new, exciting era for the organisation; the opening of an £8 million state-of-the-art facility later this year will greatly improve and expand the services and reach of the charity across the region.
The new building will provide high-quality, aspirational accommodation for over 70 young people. A community cafe will serve our residents, local businesses, community groups and the public. A large training kitchen will offer young people valuable learning and social interaction. An exhibition area will allow local artists and community groups to display their work. A multi-purpose hall will enable health and wellbeing activities, conferences, meetings, performances and events – all these facilities will also be utilised and marketed to local businesses and the wider community.
You will be joining at the most exciting time in living memory for YMCA Humber and take responsibility for the management of the property portfolio of YMCA Humber in relation to the Health & Safety, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Cleaning and Security. The role holder will also have accountability for the management of The Bradbury Café, Conferencing, and Reception facilities at the Freeman Street building.
As the successful candidate you will be inspired by the aims and objectives of YMCA Humber. You will possess a solid track record of success in a comparable role or be ready to take the next step up in your career. It is imperative that you can add value to the organisation quickly, work within the senior leadership team and direct, train or support staff where appropriate.
