Volunteers required to help steward a Reclaim These Streets walk – Friday 25th November

From Victoria Henley, Community Safety Officer, North East Lincolnshire Community Safety Partnership:

We are looking for volunteers to help to steward a Reclaim These Streets walk on Friday 25th November from 5.30pm – 8.00pm

We are planning a walk of 2 miles, starting and finishing at Grimsby Town Hall. We require high visibility stewards and 1st aiders to help assist to keep walkers safe whilst out on the walk.

The walk is to raise awareness about violence against women and girls but also to highlight that anyone can feel vulnerable on the street, any age, any gender so we are walking as a community to ‘reclaim’ them.

If you could be at the Town hall for 5.30/5.45pm for a short briefing and to help register those attending the walk, the walk will start at 6.30pm – finishing by 8pm. Parking is available at the Town Hall.

Once we have confirmed stewards we will be able to start advertising the walk itself.

Happy to answer any questions.
