Purpose of the role
During the current COVID-19 crisis, and the pressures of winter that are now upon us, we are aware that being socially isolated can take its toll on people and restrict them in accessing vital essentials including food, medicine, prescription and social contact. We are currently recruiting volunteers who we can match with people who feel isolated or need help in accessing supplies during this difficult time. This may also include helping individuals who live in care homes, supported living, receive domiciliary care in their homes or those that live in their own home supported by an unpaid carer (usually a family member), to assist with the additional pressures at this time. Volunteers will not be asked to carry out any personal care.
