Volunteer Ambassadors for Grimsby’s Viking Festival – Fri 23rd to Sun 25th September

Sent on behalf of Julia Thompson, Chair, VESR & CoastNEL:

We have the new Viking Festival, Grim Falfest taking place, Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th September. The event takes place around Grimsby town centre celebrating Grim the Viking. With long ships on the water, Viking re-enactment camp in Minster Square, a battle, market and entertainment at Riverhead its promising to be a fun event for families, residents and visitors.

We are looking for local volunteers to be our event Ambassadors and Stewards and wonder if you can please help? Either individuals or, if there might be a local organisation who could support as a group.

We would be delighted to celebrate the groups and organisations who support over social media, website and press releases and expenses are covered.

Volunteers and groups can email info@grimfalfest.com and, with event dates close, we’d be delighted to have interest as soon as possible please by Monday 12th September. Ideally no later than Wednesday 14th.

All Ambassadors will be briefed before the event and the role involves directing visitors to the viking areas, sharing event leaflets, helping direct visitors around the town and some stewarding for events including Grim’s Arrival in his Long ship on the Friday and the battles on Saturday and Sunday.
