Sent on behalf of Migration Yorkshire:
We continue to regularly check for toolkits and guidance for hosts, and organisations are starting to get toolkits and resources onto their websites. If you have been able to access any toolkits, welcome packs, or other useful resources please let me know and I can share them. I am keeping a rolling list, with new items added at the top of the list.
Please feel free to share these links with your multi-agency groups, while noting that these are external links and we cannot be responsible for the content.
- NACCOM launches hosting ‘good practice’ guidance – NACCOM For those interested in hosting, please find available to download a Good Practice Guide. NACCOM will shortly be releasing second part to the guide.
- City of Sanctuary Local Authority Network | Building a culture of hospitality for people seeking sanctuary this link has various resources and links, with a specific Ukraine page which lists many of the resources below and also Ukraine: useful resources (cityofsanctuary.org) which includes links to Ukranian translation resources: Ukrainian crisis (iti.org.uk)
- VITA’s SafeREFUGE campaign: SafeREFUGE Campaign – VITA Network (vita-network.com) Following our recent discussions about Welcome Packs, they also have a downloadable Welcome Pack which is intended to be completed by the UK host with practical information about their property and the local area, and contains links and phone numbers for the guest.
- Reset’s Homes for Ukraine Sponsor Toolkit is now available: Resettlement (resetuk.org) with information for hosts and some useful links at the end, it appears that their service matching refugees with sponsors is now also live at: Homes for Ukraine Please note that under the Who is Eligible to be Sponsored section they have mistakenly listed the eligibility for the Family Scheme, rather than the Homes for Ukraine Scheme – we have fed this back and they have acknowledged this and are working on version 2
