The Tree Council’s Tree Futures Grant Scheme

The Tree Council have s Tree Future Grant Scheme in which they have funding available to assist schools and community groups in undertaking well-planned tree planting projects across the UK during National Tree Week – 28 November – 6 December 2020.

Grants of between £300 and £1,000 are available.

Grants can be used for:

  • Buying trees, hedges and orchard trees.
  • Reasonable costs of supports and aids – stakes, ties, guards, fertiliser, mulch, soil amelioration (only where conditions make this appropriate).

Trees must be:

  • Appropriate species, size and numbers, including fruit trees (apples and pears only) on semi-vigorous, vigorous and very vigorous rootstocks (separate guidance/information on this is provided on the Tree Council website).
  • Planted in the ground.
  • Bare root stock, if possible. (If container-grown stock is being used, applicants must explain why.)
