From Civil Society News:
The National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF) has launched an 18-month strategy renewal process, and is inviting people to take part in a survey. NLCF is the largest funder of community activity in the UK and has distributed £3.4bn in the last five years.
Last October, David Knott was named chief executive of NLCF. He had previously held the role in an interim capacity, and before that was the most senior civil servant in charge of charities, as director for civil society and youth at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
Knott said this process is “the start of an important conversation”.
He added: “We want to draw on the knowledge, foresight, experiences and ambitions of communities. Thanks to National Lottery players every seven minutes we’re able to back a community to bring people together and make amazing things happen. Now is an exciting and inspiring time to explore how we build on the best that’s been with the best that’s yet to come.”
