Sent on behalf of Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership:
The Humber Acute Services (HAS) Programme has been looking at designing hospital services for the future across the Humber region, which are safe, accessible, and meet the needs of our people. To achieve this ambition, we must change what we do and how we do it – both in our hospitals at Hull, Scunthorpe, Grimsby, and Goole; and in the healthcare which is provided out of hospital in our local communities.
Our areas of focus include Maternity, Neonatal and Paediatric Care, Urgent and Emergency Care and Planned Care and Diagnostics.
The HAS programme has involved public engagement through surveys, focus groups, and public meetings. Through our engagement we have heard from over 12,000 people over the last few years. The HAS Team are preparing to launch a formal consultation on the potential future models of care later this year after the local elections have taken place in early May.
We know that some of our specific communities and areas within the Humber region may be impacted by these changes more than others. It is important to us, that everyone who could be impacted by these proposals, is given the opportunity to have their say and provide feedback through the consultation – however, we will need your help to achieve this.
How can you help?
As part of our consultation, we will be hosting focus groups across the region for people to attend; however, we are also looking for opportunities to attend events which are already planned in our local communities. If you have any upcoming events or any scheduled to take place across the summer please do let us know.
