The Ernest Cook Trust

Ernest Cook Trust offer grants to registered charities, schools and not-for-profit organisations in the UK for educational projects that will encourage young people’s interest in the countryside and the environment.

The following grants are available:

  • ECT Apprenticeships and Scholarships Grants – £500 to £10,000 per student, per year.
  • ECT Outdoor Learning Officer Grants – up to £15,000 per year (estimated as 50% of a full-time salary including on costs) for up to three years (subject to satisfactory annual impact evaluation reporting). The Trust would expect to be a part funder.

The Trust is interested in applications that address key global concerns through educational projects focusing on issues such as (but not exclusive to):

  • Connecting with nature.
  • Climate change.
  • Environmental pollution.
  • Loss of biodiversity.
  • Farming and food production.
  • Renewable energy.
  • Mental and physical wellbeing.
  • Social justice.
