Survey for Blind and Visually Impaired People

Sent on behalf of Lincs Inspire:

Lincs Inspire Libraries is looking to improve its offer to blind and visually impaired people.

We are looking to gain funding for two projects.

Firstly, to increase accessibility to cultural activities that take place within libraries in conjunction with our partners in Arts Development.

Secondly, to create a collection of IT equipment to enable blind and visually impaired people to access library collections and the Internet. Some of this would be permanently available in all libraries and a range of equipment would be available for loan from Grimsby Central Library.

To achieve these aims we have created a survey to find out what provision would be most effective and popular.

The survey can be accessed online here https://www.lincsinspire.com/libraries-archives/visually-impaired-survey/

or by ringing 01472 323626 where someone will fill in the form for you.

Please pass this information on to as many blind and visually impaired people as possible.

If there are any other organisations that you think we should contact please let us know.

If you would like information about the Home Library Service for people who cannot get to the library, please email homelibraryservice@lincsinspire.com or telephone (01472) 323651
