The funding is available to organisations that can help engage people and communities across Britain with information about how to get and use smart meters. It is especially aimed at projects that can reach those who may face barriers to getting a smart meter.
There are three funding levels in 2023:
- Grants of between £15,000 and £25,000 for organisations reaching people who are in fuel poverty.
- Grants of between £10,000 and £15,000 for organisations reaching people who are lacking basic digital skills.
- Grants of between £7,500 and £10,000 for organisations reaching people who are carers.
