Prevent Training – Testing Opportunities and Request for Case Studies

From Prevent Training Team, Home Office:

The Prevent training team are looking for volunteers to take part in the user testing for the new training platform, which will be launched in the summer. We would be grateful for your help if you could pass on this information to all your colleagues in your organisation, schools, community groups and contacts across your network.

The team would also like to create some new case studies to reflect current trends in Prevent referrals and Channel cases. Please do get in touch if you have any closed Prevent referral or Channel cases that would be suitable – we welcome case studies from across all types of extremism, particularly female cases and those with mixed, unclear and unstable ideologies. Channel/PMAP and Refresher Awareness Courses

The training team will also be running similar user testing of the Channel / PMAP and Refresher awareness courses between June and August 2022. If you would like to be involved, please register your interest using the Eventbrite links below.

User testing of the Refresher Awareness course: The Refresher Awareness course is a condensed version of the Prevent Awareness course and you must have completed the Home Office Prevent Awareness course, or another awareness training package, within the last two years. User testing of the Channel / PMAP course: The Prevent Training Team would like to invite Channel / PMAP Chairs, panel members who regularly attend meetings, or people who may be invited to participate in a Channel panel / PMAP but have not yet attended a panel to register their interest in participating in testing. Face to Face training: We know many of you are also anticipating the release of the new face-to-face Prevent training, and the next phase of the re-development of this training will commence in Spring.
