The Net Zero Community Energy Fund offers £50,000 to support community energy organisations and climate action groups in the North East, Yorkshire and Humber, and northern Lincolnshire.
Grants of up to £10,000 are available to help start-up, build capacity, or assess new energy project feasibility. Eligible community-based organizations and charities can apply.
Applications are open until 14 October 2024, and will be accepted from community-based organisations and charities providing they meet the criteria. These include the following:
- Your organisation is run by local people with clear local benefits to the project with demonstrable community links.
- Your organisation’s income is less than £100,000 in the most recent financial year.
- You must be based in and have the majority of your beneficiaries within Northern Powergrid’s geographical area of the North East of England, Yorkshire and Humber, and northern Lincolnshire.
