The 4th North East Lincolnshire Prevent Conference will be held on Thursday 10th October via Microsoft Teams.
Prevent is about safeguarding individuals from being drawn into terrorism, ensuring those susceptible to extremist and terrorist narratives are given appropriate advice and support at an early stage. Prevent is no different to any other form of safeguarding.
This conference will expand and grow your knowledge regarding the different elements that feed into Prevent. This conference is suitable for anyone wishing to expand their understanding and knowledge of Prevent.
The event will be held on Thursday 10th October 2024 and will be hosted online via Microsoft Teams. It will start at 9.30am and be a half day event.
The event will include a counter terrorism police briefing including the regional picture for Humberside and the North East, Prevent and the links to Autism, Pauls’s story, a survivor of the Manchester arena bombing and a presentation regarding Prevent referrals.
This should be a genuinely engaging and informative event as we have some really interesting and thought provoking speakers.
