North East Lincolnshire Council: Energy Support Grant

North East Lincolnshire Council is urging people to check their eligibility ahead of 31 May.

DO you live in a residential home, or do you have a relative who does – if so it’s time to check if a £400 energy support grant that you or your relative may be entitled to, has been claimed.

The Energy Bills Support Scheme Alternative Funding is available to more than 900,000 households in Great Britain who do not have a domestic electricity supply and were not eligible to receive support automatically through the Energy Bills Support Scheme (EBSS). The fund provides them with £400 to support.

People only have until Wednesday 31 May to claim and North East Lincolnshire Council, which is administering the grant on the Government’s behalf, is keen to ensure that everyone meets the deadline to claim.

Residents of residential homes or those living in park homes may not pay bills directly, but they are entitled to claim as they make contributions to energy bills via their paid fees or site charges.
