Pre-requisites: SCP Level 1 Introduction to Safeguarding Children only.
Learning Outcomes are as follows:
- To understand Child Sexual Exploitation and the journey to date;
- To understand Child Criminal Exploitation identifying children and young people who are subjected to this as victims of abuse;
- To understand signs, symptoms and vulnerabilities of child exploitation;
- Understand the grooming process for both CSE/CCE and the differences of the two including county lines model;
- Understand safeguarding mechanisms in place to support CSE/CCE;
- An introduction into contextualised safeguarding and the theory behind it;
- A better understanding of Modern Day Slavery and Trafficking and how these are applied to Child Exploitation Introduce screening tools and assessments as required.
