Whatever your age or circumstances, if you are the main carer for someone else, chances are there are times you need support yourself.
Finding all the advice and information you need as a carer can be difficult. That’s why a new online resource has been developed for people with a caring responsibility that offers a single place to access trusted local and national information and advice.
The portal is the latest addition to LiveWell, an online health and wellbeing resource for North East Lincolnshire, and we have worked closely with carers of all ages to ensure the information is relevant, useful and accessible.
You can visit the portal by clicking the following link Carers Portal.
The portal was launched to mark Carers Rights Day on November 26th but it is still being tested by users and feedback is very welcome. Please send any comments or questions to email@example.com.
Cllr Margaret Cracknell, Portfolio Holder for Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care, welcomed the new portal, saying: “We are all very pleased that the carers information on the Live well website has gone live on such a significant day for carers nationally, Carers Rights Day. It is great that all carer related summary information, support and links can all be found in one place for carers of all ages. This demonstrates the work of the NEL carers partnership”.
Cllr Ian Lindley, Portfolio Holder for Children and Young People, welcomed the development, saying: “We welcome the new carer’s portal and the support and advice this will provide to young carers. This brings together a range of information, support and links on a dedicated webpage enabling young carers to access all relevant information in one place”.
