Sent on behalf of NEL Alzheimer’s Society:

Could you spare a few hours to help make life better for people living with dementia?
A diagnosis of dementia is life changing and too often leads to a disconnect between people living with dementia and their local community.
Our Side by Side Service supports people to regain that connection, to have fun and rediscover hobbies old and new.
Do you enjoy meeting new people, walking, gardening, football, visiting the seaside, local history, bowls, chatting over a cuppa, visiting a local café, getting creative, music, photography, or film? We would love to hear from you.
By becoming a Side by Side volunteer with Alzheimer’s Society you’ll be helping a person living with dementia to feel valued, respected and included.
Our Side by Side volunteers are determined to make a lasting impact for people affected by dementia we would love to welcome more people to the team.
You don’t need experience in a health or social care setting to be a great volunteer. You’ll be supported by a role manager throughout your journey with us and receive our first-class training in supporting people with dementia.
If you have any questions about the role or would like to apply, please contact the North East Lincolnshire Team on 01472 359247 / sidebysidennel@alzheimers.org.uk
