NCP have released their new report ‘Building Blocks of Growth’ on the role of Civil Society in tackling regional inequalities and supporting local economic growth.
The evidence of the report shows that Civil Society has three unique value-adds in building health and education around the country, and in doing so supporting economic growth:
- Preventing issues from occurring by building community resilience and social capital,
- Connecting to people who may not engage with statutory services for a variety of reasons,
- Targeting inequalities using its combination of grassroots insight, lived experience and ability to coordinate local services.
