Funding for Urgent Repairs and Community Facilities!
The National Churches Trust offers substantial grants of up to £50,000 to churches in need of urgent structural repairs or improvements. The Trust will support major repair projects, as well as upgrades that enhance accessibility and community use, such as the addition of kitchens and accessible toilets.
Applications for Stage 1 are open now, with a deadline of midnight on 4 March 2025. If your application advances, you’ll be notified about the Stage 2 timeline. Please note, however, that grants between £40,000 and £50,000 are extremely limited and are awarded only to projects with a particularly strong case for investment.
To qualify, repair projects should have a total cost exceeding £80,000 (including VAT), while facility improvements should be costed at over £30,000. The grant will cover up to 50% of the project’s expenses, helping churches preserve their historic structures and expand their role as vital community hubs.
