There have been a number of people who have experienced disconnected landlines as part of the Virgin Media digital switch over. The above link is the advice from Ofcom. Locally, Virgin Media are the first of the providers to make the change and require individual account holders (or family members) to contact them directly if they experience a problem.
Virgin Media customers can call 150 from Virgin Media landline or Virgin Mobile Or 0345 454 1111* from any other phone.
