Me-Learning for Females 16-18 years

The Equality Practice have three programmes beginning in September, which they are recruiting for in August 2024. One of the 3 programmes is:

Me-Learning for Females 16-18 years

The Me-Learning Programme has been running for 8 years.  It is a transformational 12-week programme, where individuals learn all about themselves, their skills and strengths and practice activities that encourage confidence, self-belief and resilience.  Before leaving, they are already taking their next steps to change their lives.

The Equality Practice is beginning a new programme on the 9th September for 16-18 year old females who are not in employment, education or training, (finishing December.)  It will be located at St. Hughes Community Centre in Haycroft Street.  It runs two to three mornings a week, 10-1.30.  This programme will be delivered mainly on a Monday and Tuesday, although occasionally there will be extra days to suit our delivery partners, for example First Aid, which is a Level 3 accredited programme.  We do not run through school holidays as some of the women have children.

Women get to try Virtual Reality, Wellbeing and Mindfulness, Wild Woodcraft Skills, (fire building and cooking outdoors, making bows and knives), First Aid, Cooking on a Budget, experiencing a soundbath, an escape room puzzle, (not escape room) and axe throwing, to name a few.

“Find your why, find your purpose, find your reason for being, and learn how to make it happen.  If you don’t, who will?”

This is a clip with women talking about the last programme.  Please feel free to share this with other service providers and online.  Attached is a digital leaflet and below is a digital advert.
