Grants are available to not-for-profit organisations, businesses and research institutes for innovative projects which focus on young children’s wellbeing while addressing social issues worldwide.
Funding is intended to support evidence-based innovative solutions to problems that hinder early childhood development. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Access to early childhood care and education.
- Adequate nutrition.
- Eradication of toxic stress in homes and communities.
- Reduction of violence in homes and communities.
- Protection from pollution.
- Supporting the social and emotional wellbeing of the whole family.
10 finalists will be selected, who will each receive approximately $1 million to strengthen their plans.
Selecting from the finalists, up to five awards will be announced by the end of 2022. Three winners will receive approximately $30 million and two runners up will receive $15 million each.
There is a two-stage application process:
- Interested organisations must register to apply before 4pm US Central Time on 7 April 2022.
- Registered organisations must then submit their full applications before 4pm US Central Time on 17 May 2022.
