LADO training offer in North East Lincs

Forwarded

The LADO service is offering FREE training on Managing Allegations, against individuals who work or volunteer with children.

All organisations who work or volunteer with children should have policies and procedures in place, to tell them what to do when an allegation is made against their staff or volunteers.

The Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) oversees those allegations and coordinate the investigations about the allegation independently by chairing Allegation Management Meetings.

An allegation can only be investigated by:

  1. Police
  2. Employer / Voluntary Organisation
  3. Children Services

North East Lincs LADO service invites all professionals/ volunteers with designated responsibility for safeguarding children to attend the Managing Allegation Training.

The Aims and Objectives of the Training is to understand:

  • what an Allegation is
  • the LADO role
  • the LADO process
  • your role in the LADO process
  • when & how to make a LADO referral
