Deadline 1st March 2022
Job summary: North East Lincolnshire Council is recruiting a small cohort of Community/Citizen Researchers who will work alongside the council and local community organisations to engage the community, listen and learn about the issues that matter to local people (particularly young people), and communicate their priorities to decision makers. This is a lively and interesting role which will suit someone who is genuinely curious about the needs and aspirations of local people, and who wants to play a part in understanding and sharing their perspectives. You don’t need any academic background in research, just ambition and a willingness to learn. They particularly want to hear from young people who live in central Grimsby, North Cleethorpes or Immingham.
What young people will get: Young people will have a place on a research training programme delivered by think tank Common Vision, and gain valuable work experience and employability skills whilst carrying out meaningful work that allows them to play a part in their local community. They will also be assigned a personal mentor who will assist with CV building and interview skills.
