KCC Homecare are looking for new members of staff on a long-term permanent basis to ensure we are able to continue to provide both regulated and non-regulated care services to our clients in their own homes.

Job Types: Full time / Part-time, Bank and Permanent.
Salary: £10.90 – £13.13 per hour

KCC Homecare is looking for committed and caring individuals who enjoys helping others who can assist our clients in continuing to live independent lives in their own homes. They will require a flexible approach to their working life as they will be expected to undertake a variety of duties in addition to being a carer. Experience in a similar position is desirable – but not essential as training will be given.

In return the successful applicants will receive an extremely competitive rate of pay compared with the local home-care industry, KCC not only pay over the National Living Wage KCC pay over the recommended living wage at £10.90. Our carers are paid on a shift basis totalling an agreed number of hours per week. This includes paid travel and waiting time. KCC also pay an overtime rate for any hours worked over contracted hours.

KCC carers with access to a car are paid 35 pence per mile travelled. In these difficult economic times, it is KCC policy to review pay on a 6 monthly basis.

We work across Grimsby, Immingham and surrounding villages of North East Lincolnshire; therefore, the use of a car is essential, however within the Immingham area a biker/walker would be considered.

  • Candidates need to be literate and numerate but no formal education qualifications are necessary.
  • Candidates will need access to a reliable car for work.

Work patterns and tasks will be informed to the candidate using an app that runs on a smart phone. Phones can be provided if necessary, but candidates will need to be able to use a smart phone. A phone allowance is payable if the candidate uses their own device.

Training will be provided by the employer.
