From the Grimsby Job Centre:
We are writing to inform you that from June 14th 2021 our Jobcentre has registered as a J9 safe place. This will give victims of domestic abuse a safe place to disclose that they are in a domestic abuse relationship and where they can access information and use a telephone to contact relevant agencies for support.
The J9 Domestic Abuse Initiative is named in memory of Janine Mundy, a mother of two who was killed by her estranged husband whilst he was on Police bail. Janine used to sign her text messages J9, hence its name.
Posters and logos will be on do display within our office from 14th June.
Please share this information with colleagues, partner organisations and customers as appropriate.
If your organisation would also like to become a J9 safe space along with many other companies, GP’s, hairdressers, local authorities etc across the country see www.saferplaces.co.uk/j9-initiative for details .
Tracey Rudd and myself are the single point of contact so if you have any questions please get in touch.
