Invite from ERA:
Could you offer a 6 month job placement to a young person? Could you support them to succeed in some relevant training? Are you interested in attracting young people to work in in community and voluntary organisations?
ERA is thinking of applying to the government’s Kickstart scheme www.gov.uk/government/collections/kickstart-scheme and is looking for partner organisations across the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector.
Our initial thinking is that ERA would coordinate access to training linked to the job placement such as Business Administration, Digital Marketing, Community Organising or Community Development (if you wanted us to) and also support the young people to look for long term work, interview preparation and access to employability skills. You would be responsible for day to day supervision.
The scheme will pay 100% of the relevant National Minimum Wage for 25 hours a week plus associated employer contributions and there is a placement fee to cover training costs and other support.
This is a great way to build capacity and interest amongst young people in working in the sector.
