Historic England offers funding support the not-for-profit sector and voluntary organisations based in England that are working to promote the sustainable management and development of the historic environment. The funding is for projects that have a regional or local focus within England.
To be eligible, activities and projects must help to avoid risk to the historic environment through at least one of the following targets:
- Building up the capacity and commitment of local communities to champion the conservation and enhancement of their own local historic environments.
- Promoting best-practice standards and skills for the conservation, documentation, interpretation and sustainable management of the resources of England’s historic environment.
- Meeting regional-based information needs.
