Launched in November 2021, the Activation and Community Engagement Fund has already supported various projects and seeks to increase activity in Grimsby town centre. As part of the Towns Fund programme, it provides capital grants to businesses and community organisations to revitalise and repurpose empty properties. This scheme aims to support smaller projects that enhance the ongoing major regeneration efforts, such as the redevelopment of Riverhead Square, St James House, an NHS Community Diagnostics Hub, the Horizon Youth Zone, and a new cinema and leisure complex.
