The Foyle Foundation, a registered charity, provides funding to UK registered charities undertaking projects that will improve learning resources, or advocate performing and visual arts.
They offer a small grants scheme and a main grants scheme.
For Small Grants funding is available to charities that have an annual turnover of less than £150,000 per annum and supported projects can be in any field across a wide range of activities. Grants of between £1,000 and £10,000 are available for 12 months. The funding can be used for core costs or essential equipment.
For Main Grants the majority of grants will be in the range of £10,000 to £50,000. There are two strands to the programme:
- Arts – This strand is designed to improve the sustainability of the arts and support groups which work to achieve this. Generally, funding is for specific projects/activities that offer long-term benefit and sustainability.
- Learning – This strand is designed to support projects that facilitate the acquisition of knowledge such as through increased access to places of learning (eg museums and libraries) and which have a long-term strategic impact.
Major capital requests (over £75,000) will not be accepted for the time being until the coronavirus situation is resolved.
The Foundation will consider both revenue and capital projects.
