Sent on behalf of Emma Wragg, Learning and Development Advisor (Safeguarding), Children’s Services, North East Lincolnshire Council:
This awareness raising training will help you to fully understand the drugs of choice of our young people and what risks are attached, and how to minimise harm to keep young people safe. This training will be facilitated by We Are With You and the Youth Offending Team, North East Lincolnshire Council.
What is the context for this training?
The Safeguarding Children Partnership have produced a harm minimisation document and an awareness raising training programme for all organisations to access, following a very serious incident involving a young person locally, earlier this year.
What will the training cover?
- Approaches/Attitudes to Substance Use
- Different Drug categories
- Trends in North East Lincolnshire
- How to manage a young person if they are under the influence
- Useful contact details
- Opportunity to ask questions
The training session will be 1.5 hours and include time for questions
Is there a cost to the training?
