New Safeguarding Training Opportunities
The Awareness of Trauma training is a short e-learning course produced by the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership to raise awareness of trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences. The course is available to access through the Children and Families Learning Zone, free of charge.
The training will help you to define trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences and the potential impact of it on people; understand trauma informed practice and care and how we can respond more effectively to support people and to identify sources of support for yourself and colleagues.
This training is aimed at anyone who has direct or regular contact with children and young people who may be affected by trauma (even if this is not known about).
How to Access the Awareness of Trauma E-Learning Training
The training can be accessed directly from the Children and Families Learning Zone by clicking here:

If you have not accessed the system before, you will need to register first of all and enter the access key, which is CFLZ22.
Just click on the course Library icon on the left hand side of the page, then click on the ‘Online’ button, then ‘Children and Families’, then ‘Trauma’ and you will see the course listed. Just click on the ‘Access Now’ button at the right hand side of the screen to start the training.
