Mental Health VCSE Alliance building
November 22, 2021 @ 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Rethink is working across the country to support the implementation of the Community Mental Health Framework. This is a very important part of the NHS Long Term Plan. One of the key aspects of the CMHF is the need to radically redesign mental health services to a more community and prevention based model that is based on an integrated approach across health, social care, housing and the voluntary sector.
Rethink published a paper called ‘Communities that Care’ to outline their vision for how community mental health services could develop. They followed this up with guides for NHS Trusts and Integrated Care Systems and then a guide for Local Authorities. At the heart of this vision is the idea of an alliance of local voluntary sector groups, charities and local community organisations working together to support the transformation of local services. Rethink will be able to update on funding for the Community Mental Health Transformation Programme and how the Integrated Care Partnerships will work with the VCSE sector, across the Humber Coast and Vale Integrated Care System
The Charities Aid Foundation has funded them to support this work in 4 areas nationally and one of these is North East Lincolnshire, where they are working in partnership with colleagues at NAVIGO, NELC and the CCG.
Rethink would like to have a discussion with VCSE and community colleagues in North East Lincolnshire about how we can work together to develop a joint integrated approach to the transformation process currently being led by NAVIGO and the Local Integrated Care Partnership.
Please join them at an event to discuss these issues and develop a local mental health VCSE community alliance. This will be held on 22 November, 1pm – 4.30pm at Centre4
The afternoon will begin with a networking lunch for all people attending. Rethink ask that each community VCSE organisation sends up to 2 representatives who can speak on their behalf. Could you please confirm whether your organisation will be able to attend, and who will be attending the event by emailing Stephen Ryder, Rethink Mental Illness firstname.lastname@example.org
