MARAC/DASH Awareness Training

This course has been designed to give professionals an overview of the MARAC (Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference) process and to develop awareness of risk and how to assess it. The aims and objectives for the course are:
- To develop an understanding of the MARAC process, including DASH risk assessment and the role of the IDVA
- Have a clear understanding of the MARAC criteria
- Know when, and how, to complete a MARAC referral
- Identify the responsibility of agencies when dealing with domestic abuse cases
The course will be of particular relevance to those working directly with client groups likely to be affected by domestic violence and abuse including social workers, education workers, health practitioners (including GPs, dentists, health visitors, midwives, pharmacists), teachers, solicitors, housing officers, anyone working in the voluntary sector, working with children and working in drug and alcohol support agencies.
Available training dates are:
Friday 17th December 2021 – 09.30am to 12:00pm
Thursday 10th February 2022 – 09:30am to 12:00pm
