Gambling Harms Awareness Training

In response to the Training Needs Assessment carried out last year, a gambling harms awareness training package has been externally commissioned. This will be a Gambling Understood: VBI Begin the Conversation training running in 3 blocks from 01st July – 23rd Sept. (N.B. This email is for an invite to the next block which is number 3, Block 3 sessions run from 5^th September to 20^th September with various times available)

Session formats will be a 3hr interactive online session targeted at those more likely to come into contact with someone experiencing or affected by gambling harm and empower them to open a conversation, and signpost or refer to a treatment pathway. The sessions will require active participation in skills scenarios.This is part of an evaluated project requiring participants to feedback information pre and post session and take part in an informal follow up interview to determine the effectiveness of the training and any practical application.
