Adult Day Services in NEL – get involved and have your say!
November 8 @ 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Sector Support North East Lincolnshire are hosting a Zoom webinar for VCSE organisations in the area to find out more about the Day Opportunities review which is currently taking place – led by NHS North East Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group. Day Opportunities is a package of community-based activities which people can choose to participate in that offer them the opportunity to do things such as, meeting up with others and making friends, taking on volunteering roles, and using leisure and recreational facilities to help and support them in their lives. The aim of the Review is to put together some proposals on how these services should and could be provided to meet the needs of those using the services, now and in the future.
On Monday 8th November, 4pm to 5pm, Sector Support NEL will be joined by Bev Compton, Director of Adult Services in North East Lincolnshire to explore the purpose of the Review, why it is taking place now, and how the CCG is going to involve current service users and providers to ensure that everyone’s voice is heard. We will also discuss how VCSE organisations in North East Lincolnshire can help the CCG to engage with their clients who access Day Opportunities in the area, and will give an opportunity for you to provide feedback from your organisation as well as what you may hear about Day Opportunities ‘on the grapevine’ from your service users.
Bev Compton, Director of Adult Services explained, “We know that people who use our day centres and other activities on offer value the service, and so do their carers’. A high proportion of people using the service have been doing so for a long time and whilst that may be appropriate for some people, it may not be for others as people’s needs are very different. This review of services is essential to ensure that those differing needs are being met and we are doing the best we can for those that use day services.”
This session will also give attendees the opportunity to take part in a question and answer session with the panel.
You can book your place on this Zoom webinar by emailing the North East Lincolnshire CCG Engagement Team at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 0300 3000 563.
