Sent on behalf of Hannah Leitch | Campaigns & Marketing Manager, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:
I am pleased to share the creative assets and partner toolkit for the Environment Agency’s Flood Action campaign, launching in Grimsby in January 2023.
What?
The Environment Agency is aiming to increase levels of understanding and preparation for a flood among audiences in Grimsby. We are experimenting with a mix of communications approaches, focusing on communities who may not have a recent memory of flooding, and so are less aware and more vulnerable to flood impacts.
We need the residents of Grimsby to recognise that flooding can affect their home and health and disrupt their life. And also to understand how to prepare for flooding and to know where to access support should flooding occur.
How?
As a trusted voice in the community, you can support the campaign by downloading and using our assets in your external and internal channels to help prepare your audiences in the event of flooding and, where relevant, to highlight the support you offer locally.
In the above links, you will find a suite of digital and physical assets for your use that includes posters, social assets, digital screens and long and short form copy. We would be hugely grateful for your support in helping to share and amplify Flood Action campaign content on your own channels across January and February.
When?
The core campaign will run from 16th January – 16th February 2023.
Why?
Taking steps to prepare for flooding and knowing what to do in a flood can significantly reduce the damages to a home and possessions, reduce risk to life, and reduce the likelihood of suffering from mental health impacts in the future. Through your support we can help residents understand their neighbourhood and property are at risk, know what actions they need to take to prepare, act and survive, and where they can go for further information and support.
Measuring success:
To help us evaluate the success of this campaign, please do let us know how you plan to use these assets. Our team may also be in touch after the campaign period to understand any results to include in our reporting.
If you have any questions about the campaign and how you can get involved, please do not hesitate to contact me.
