Early years funding for employees

From Families First Information Service:

I work with the Families First Information service for North East Lincolnshire Childrens Services.

Families First are doing a huge promote for early years funding and wondered if you could possibly forward this onto your relevant HR personnel please?

With the recent climate we are facing, we are understanding that many families are facing financial hardship. This must be especially difficult for parents/carers of young children, because until the child reaches three years old, there is no universal free childcare. However, many working low income families could be entitled to 15 hours of free childcare for their 2 year olds, as well as those on certain benefits. This is something not everybody is aware of.

Therefore we would be especially grateful if you could include our useful leaflets and information in your recruitment packs, maternity packs, canteens, staff rooms and so forth, within your North East Lincolnshire branches.

Also please find the link to the Childcare Choices website https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/ and our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/FamiliesFirstNEL ,  here you will find realms of information for parents and carers with children of all ages who may be struggling to pay for childcare. Families can apply here:  https://www.nelincs.gov.uk/children-families-and-schools/childcare-and-funding/two-year-old-funding/ or by telephoning 01472 326292 Option 1.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

With best regards,

Michelle Sargent
