Domestic Abuse – Safer Accommodation Duty Survey Link

Sent on behalf of Helen Cordell, Domestic Abuse Coordinator, North East Lincolnshire

We recently held a discussion with local domestic abuse service provider about the Safer Accommodation Duty, where they shared their views about the opportunities they feel we could explore as part of the process to develop a local offer. I’ve attached a copy of the presentation, which includes a link to the detailed information on the new Domestic Abuse Act and the new duty.

Following this, we are really keen to seek the views and experiences of wider services, teams and practitioners across the whole of the partnership. It’s crucial that we understand the needs of those affected by domestic abuse, in particular our children and young people whose voices often go unheard, and we want you to help with that.

A small survey has been opened where you can share those views and experiences. It’s completely anonymous, though you can choose to provide details of the organisation you are from if you wish. It’s really important that we receive honest feedback and all feedback is greatly received. I would also encourage you to share this survey with your colleagues and networks.

The original deadline for responses has now been extended to end of play 19th November 2021 as we are really keen to hear what you have to say.

If you have any question, please feel free to contact myself, Aimee Lowther (Aimee.Lowther@nelincs.gov.uk) or Katie Chadwick (Katie.Chadwick@nelincs.gov.uk). Thank you.
