Prevent toolkit for police communicators

The Counter Terrorism Policing Network has released an Online campaign. The widespread coverage of coronavirus has included warnings from charities and police around the online harms risk, this has mainly centred on children spending more time at home online increasing the risk of online child exploitation, however we cannot discount the risk of online radicalisation. As young people have less daily support from teachers and safeguarding professionals it is important to reach out to families and friends to ensure they are aware of the dangers and how to access help.

Please feel free to disseminate this information – the attached images and videos below can be used by partner agencies to promote the campaign and the link below provides further details of example social media messages which partners can use with relevant hashtags and weblink.
