In July 2024, a new Child Poverty Taskforce was set up to lead the creation of a government-wide plan to address child poverty. On October 23, the Cabinet Office outlined the focus of this work.

Although there’s no set deadline, the Child Poverty Unit encourages contributions to be sent as soon as possible to ensure all views are considered.
