ERA: Contact Tracing Support Assistants

Purpose of the role:

North East Lincolnshire Council has produced a COVID-19 Outbreak Control Plan.  A key part of that plan relates to preventing outbreaks of COVID-19 in high-risk places, locations and communities in North East Lincolnshire.  Another part of the plan is focused on supporting the national contact tracing service with local capacity for contact tracing within the borough. 

Act as a Contact Tracing Support Assistant offering advice and support to members of the public in their homes and communities.  In particular, ensure that people are adhering to legislation and guidance around isolation periods, social distancing, face coverings hand hygiene and other COVID related government guidance.

This exciting role is ideally suited to someone who wants to help develop the charity, improve its income generation, is passionate about the community, is hands on, flexible and wants to make a difference.

Salary: £21,000 per annum. The role is dependent on income generation and will be subject to a review.
Working Hours: Flexible working is required – working hours will include weekend work and evenings (up to 21:30hrs and occasionally 23.30hrs). Hours worked over the contracted hours will be reimbursed as time off in lieu in agreement with the General Manager. 40 hours per week.

North Lincolnshire Good Neighbours – National Lottery Community Fund Emerging Futures

I am very proud and pleased to let you know at last that HWRA was one of the 52 successful applicants out of over 1,000 which has been selected to work with the Community Fund Emerging Futures Team to facilitate the development of 5 Good Neighbour Schemes across North Lincolnshire. This project will form part of the new learning process being delivered to assist the National Lottery, government departments and other funders, to understand the future needs of the sector in order to determine and direct the funding appropriately.

I’ve attached the original press release and also the Job advert and description for a 22.5 hours Community Development Coordinator who will lead on the project. Please could you circulate to your networks, place on websites and in newsletters and push out to people who may me interested in the role. As it is only for 6 months it is possible that we will consider a secondment if the host organisation supports this.

This means shifting the focus of our work from picking people up when they fall to helping to prevent them from becoming unwell in the first place and supporting more people to manage their health and wellbeing at home so they can get on with living happy and fulfilling lives.

To do this, we need to look at how we deliver health and social care services working in partnership with other sectors including the VCSE sector, a key partner in delivering transformation of health and wellbeing in our region

An exciting new position of Programme Director has been created to ensure the VCSE sector has a strong influential voice and visibility, and is able to contribute to the health and well-being of the Humber Coast and Vale population.

You will be part of a dynamic team in delivering the effective implementation of the Humber Coast and Vale third sector input across the partnership as well as managing the day to day activity of the VCS Leadership Programme.

A natural collaborator, the successful candidate will quickly establish credible and professional relationships with colleagues across the partnership to deliver the transformation required.

You will have significant experience at a senior level in leading and managing change, an understanding of, and experience of working with the VCSE sector, ideally in the context of improving health and wellbeing outcomes and an understanding and knowledge of the workings of the NHS, the challenges it faces and of the reform agenda.

The nature of the work undertaken means that this invitation is for women only and is exempt under Schedule 9 Part 1 Equalities Act 2010

Main tasks are to;

  • provide an immediate and safe place for women and children who are escaping domestic abuse
  • be responsible for supporting the women, assessing their risk and safety planning
  • take part in refuge out of hours ‘on-call’ phone service including occasional call-outs for admissions

The dates and times are on an ‘as and when’ basis and include covering sickness, holidays and weekends.
