NEL Family Hubs and Start for Life Small Grants

This grant scheme accepts applications from voluntary, community and not for profit organisations in North East Lincolnshire that can clearly demonstrate how their project contributes to the delivery of the Family Hubs and Start for Life Programme. To read more about the programme click here.

Funding for these grants are to contribute to at least ONE of the Start for Life Priorities.

Applications are invited from organisations working with/ supporting families around any of the following 4 priorities:

  • Perinatal mental health and parent infant relationships
  • Parenting support
  • Infant feeding
  • Home learning environment

Please note that bids of up to £10,000, must be submitted by the 1st March 2024 and the funding must be for activity in 2024/25.

Climb 4: Youth Needs survey

Climb 4 have the opportunity to increase their delivery of after school activities delivered within the South Ward for young people aged 11-16/ and those with SEND/SEMH needs aged 11-25.

Climb 4 are gathering feedback from young people, parents & carers and those who work with those with additional needs.

Oasis Hub: Lead Youth Worker (South Grimsby)

Deadline: 6th October 2023 (9:00 am)

Salary: £13,036 Per Annum
Hours of work: 20 hours per week
Fixed Term: 12 Month Contract

Oasis Hub South Grimsby are seeking a motivated Lead Youth Worker. The role involves developing positive activities for young people in the community. Some of the key responsibilities include: –

• Building positive relationships with staff and young people.
• Plan and lead open access youth club sessions and targeted workshops with young people.
• Empowering young people to participate in volunteering opportunities.

This role forms part of a large community hub team based in South Grimsby and supported by the Hub Leader.

New Fund to Boost Local Growth and Energy Security

The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero has announced a new £10 million fund to support local communities across England in setting up local energy projects.

Both urban and rural communities will be able to apply for the Community Energy Fund to help develop local renewable energy projects. The Community Energy Fund will open to applications in the early Autumn.

This funding will aim to help kickstart projects proposed, designed and owned by local people including:

  • small-scale wind farms and rooftop solar partnerships
  • battery storage
  • rural heat networks
  • electric vehicle charging points
  • fuel poverty alleviation schemes
