Differences between easyfundraising and Grant Funding

A flexible approach to funding

For many of their organisations, funding is a lead priority, and it can be tempting to immediately look for ways to access significant funds, quickly. But this month, they’re urging their members to think flexibly about funding – by combining grant funding, or other fundraising activities, with easyfundraising

With FREE funds raised each time members of your community shop online, courtesy of the retailer shopped with, it can provide an ongoing income stream alongside short term fundraising activities or grants.

Here’s an overview of the flexibility that easyfundraising offers compared to grant funding.

Health and Safety Law Poster: What You Need to Know

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) provides a health and safety law  poster that outlines key legal responsibilities for both employers and workers.  If you employ staff, you are legally required to either:

  • Display the health and safety law poster in a visible location for all workers or
  • Provide each worker with an equivalent health and safety law leaflet

Choose the Right Format for Your Business

HSE offers different versions to suit your needs:

Pocket-Sized Alternative

For added convenience, HSE also provides health and safety law pocket cards. These are a legally approved alternative to the poster, making it easy for workers to carry key health and safety information with them.

New Domestic Abuse Service in North East Lincolnshire

Forwarded

Sent on behalf of North East Lincolnshire Council

North East Lincolnshire Council are pleased to announce that they have awarded the contract for various Domestic Abuse provision to North East Lincolnshire Women’s Aid.

The new services delivered will include support within the refuge, support within non-refuge safe accommodation, outreach/community support including drop-in sessions, and sanctuary scheme coordination.  A single point of contact has also been created to receive and process all referrals for domestic abuse support.  This will help prevent individuals seeking support from having to tell their story multiple times and will track their journey through the service.

This service will support all individuals (both women and men) at all levels of risk, including those with complex or additional needs.

The new service went live as of 1st of October 2024.

A new referral pathway for the service is attached.  All referrals for individuals aged 16 or over affected by domestic abuse should go through the new single point of contact. A separate referral will also need to be made to MARAC for those identified as being at immediate risk of serious harm or death.

There is also a general advice and information service for those who affected by domestic abuse, their families/friends, and professionals who support them. This can be also accessed via the single point of contact.
