Where: Heritage House, Fisherman’s Wharf, Grimsby (next to Sainsbury’s)

What to Expect:The session will focus on:

  • The Single Point of Access service
  • Finding information and advice online for health, mental health, and care services

Town Hall to host RAF Band Concert and Civic Reception

This FREE event is open to the public who are invited to a Civic Reception for the Royal Air Force, featuring an engaging presentation and a short concert by members of the RAF Band.

The RAF Engagement event is being hosted at Grimsby Town Hall on Thursday 6 February 2025.

This unique event offers an inside look at the Royal Air Force’s operations and its vital role in national security. Discover what a career in the RAF entails, and enjoy a captivating performance by the RAF Band to conclude the evening.

Young people with special educational needs and disabilities aged 18-24 are invited to learn more about supported internships on 30 January.

If you’d like to gain experience to be able to apply for a job then this may be for you!

There are two programmes in North East Lincolnshire, at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital and a joint programme with Humberside Police and North East Lincolnshire Council.

The programme lasts one academic year, working Monday to Friday and you will complete three different rotations at the host business while being supported by your job coach.

You must have an Education, Health and Care Plan.

Sport Welfare Connect – Free Online Event for Clubs and those in Sport Welfare

Active Humber, in collaboration with North Yorkshire Sport and the Yorkshire Sport Foundation, will be hosting a free online event titled ‘Sport Welfare Connect’ on the 28th of January 2025, at 6:00 PM.

The theme for this event is “See Something, Say Something”, and it promises to be an invaluable opportunity for sports clubs to connect and discuss vital safeguarding practices.

To mark Lung cancer awareness month (November), Humber and North Yorkshire Cancer Alliance is supporting national campaigns to raise awareness about lung cancer and the Targeted Lung Health Checks, by offering short 20-minute online lung cancer awareness sessions for all.

Come and join one of their online sessions and learn more about:

  • Why lung cancer awareness is important
  • The signs and symptoms of lung cancer
  • Targeted Lung Health Checks
  • How to reduce your risk of lung check

They are offering a number of sessions throughout November on:
