The main duties of the role include;
- Working with individual victims of crime to help them to cope and recover from the effects
- Carrying out a needs and risk assessment with victims to understand their requirements
- Working alongside other agencies in an advocate role to get the best outcome for victims
- Completing case administration and managing a caseload of clients
- Attending meetings, including multi-agency meetings, with other agencies
- Increasing awareness of the service and promoting and improving access to it
