This programme is provided by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC). The delivery partners are Homes England and the Greater London Authority.
The Fund is part of the wider Building Safety Programme whose objectives are to ensure that residents of high-rise buildings are safe – and feel safe – in their homes now, and in the future.
The objectives of the Fund are that:
- The historical life safety fire risks associated with cladding on high-rise residential buildings are addressed quickly and proportionately so that residents in those homes are safe.
- Leaseholder and resident communication and engagement on the project is effective.
- Projects are delivered on time and to budget.
- Cost recovery from those responsible.
