The Foundation is interested in supporting projects that assist:
- in the health and wellbeing of staff members
- in improvements to the places and spaces that staff members use
- projects that enable staff members to keep well both physically and mentally
- the need for extra resources to meet demand
Funding can be used towards running costs, projects, or equipment and must benefit current or former staff or volunteers within the Blue Light community. Available grants fall into two categories:
- under £10,000 and
- above £10,000 (are decided on a quarterly basis)
A wide range of organisations can apply including:
- Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIO)
- Community Interest Companies (CIC)
- Charities and charitable companies including Charitable Companies (limited by guarantee)
Services classed as the Blue Light community include:
- NHS
- NHS Dental Practice
- Red Cross
- Social Care
- Care Company Workforce
- Care Home
- Council (care sector)
- Foster Carers
- Residential Care
- Social Worker
- St Andrew’s Ambulance
