North East Lincolnshire SCP Training: New Brochure – March 2025 Edition

New SCP Training Brochure – Now Available! (For non-NELC colleagues only)

North East Lincolnshire Council is excited to launch its new SCP Training Brochure, offering a range of multi-agency training opportunities. You can now browse the brochure and book courses directly.

How to Book:

You must be registered on the Children and Families Learning Zone to book. If you’re not registered, follow the step-by-step guide on page 3 of the brochure.

New Course Dates Available:

  • Independent Reviewing Officer Workshop
  • Heads Up: Substance Use & Minimising Harm to Children & Young People
  • Harmful Sexual Behaviour Awareness
  • Risk Analysis Framework (replacing Signs of Safety – book if you haven’t completed it!)

Energy Redress Scheme

Application Deadline: 20 March 2025, (5pm)

Energy Saving Trust, appointed by Ofgem, is distributing £40 million in grants to charities and community energy groups helping those at risk from cold homes and high energy bills. The scheme runs until 2026 and funds projects that support vulnerable people, develop innovative energy solutions, and empower communities to cut carbon emissions.

Who Can Apply?

  • Charities, CICs, Co-ops, and Community Benefit Societies
  • Community energy groups

Funding Streams

  • Main Fund & Small Fund – For charities delivering energy-related projects
  • Carbon Emissions Reduction Fund, Innovation Fund & Just Transition Fund – For community energy groups

Minimum grant: £20,000 – Ensuring impactful, high-quality projects

The Fore: Apply for Funding

Registration for their Summer 2025 funding round opens soon!

Registration opens: 27th March 2025, 12pm (midday)

Registration closes: 03rd April 2025, 12pm (midday)

Registered applicants will receive an email confirming whether they have secured a place in the funding round on Friday, 4th April.  Successful applicants will be invited to submit a full application.

The Fore  provide support to small charities, to help them grow, strengthen, and become more efficient or resilient.

Who Can Apply?

  • Small charities, CICs (not limited by shares), and Community Benefit Societies
  • Organisations with annual revenue under £500K
  • UK-registered organisations from any sector, prioritising grassroots groups supporting underserved communities

Available Funds: Unrestricted grants up to £30K

The Stobart Sustainability Fund

Stobart is committed to a greener future by reducing its carbon footprint and helping others do the same.  The Stobart Sustainability Fund provides support for community-led projects that:

  • Tackle climate change
  • Reduce carbon emissions
  • Protect and enhance the environment

Projects must focus on green, ecological, or sustainability initiatives that directly benefit the environment. The goal is to transform local communities.

Who can apply?  The fund is open to:

  • Non-profits
  • Community groups
  • Educational institutions (schools, colleges, etc.)
  • Small businesses

The Stobart Sustainability Fund | Stobart

Youth Endowment Fund – Open Call

Deadline: No fixed closing date.  This is a rolling fund.

The Youth Endowment Fund is inviting proposals from organisations dedicated to reducing youth involvement in violence. This funding round is for initiatives that are ready for rigorous evaluation to measure their impact.

Who Can Apply?

Applications will be considered from registered charities, companies, statutory bodies and community interest companies (CICs) supporting children and young people in England and/or Wales. 

To apply your projects will need to be working in one of the following sectors:

  • Youth sector
  • Children’s services
  • Youth Justice
  • Policing
  • Neighbourhoods
  • Health
  • Education

Projects must support children and young people aged 10-18 at risk or affected by violence:

  • At risk of crime or violence (‘secondary prevention’), or
  • Already affected by violence, offending or exploitation (‘tertiary prevention’).

Benefact Group: Movement for Good – £1000 Draw

Closing Date: 24th March 2025

£1,000 and £5,000 awards to give away!

The Benefact Group had their first special draw in February 2025 awarding £5,000 to 10 deserving charities, to celebrate the work that charities do to support animals and wildlife.

The next upcoming £1,000 draw will be their first boosted draw of the year. They will be doubling the winners – increasing from 50 to 100 charities!  

If you haven’t nominated your favourite charities yet, now is the time! Get involved and make a difference today.  The draw takes place on 24th March.

Lloyds Bank Foundation: Local Collaborations Programme

Application Deadline: 30 April 2025, (5pm)

Funding is now open for local collaborations

This programme supports small charities working to drive local or regional change in:

  • Improving the social security system for those facing significant challenges
  • Ensuring access to suitable accommodation for people with complex needs
  • Enhancing support and services for asylum seekers and refugees

Available Funds: Collaborations can apply for grants of £100,000 over two years.

This funding cannot be used for direct service delivery – it is solely to support partnerships for influencing and advocacy efforts at local or regional levels.

Ørsted’s £255,000 Skills Fund

Application Deadline: 2 April 2025

Power up your community with Ørsted’s latest £255,000 Skills Fund

This funding will be shared across three regions:

  • Lancashire & Cumbria
  • East Yorkshire & Lincolnshire
  • Norfolk & Suffolk

Ørsted is looking for organisations passionate about delivering STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) training, education programs, or standout events.

Apply for a minimum grant starting from £10,000 to help bring ideas to life.

The Skills Fund has already granted over £1.5M to support more than 70 innovative projects.
